UTVS Television, the University Television Station of St. Cloud State University, is an award winning, student run broadcast powerhouse with a legacy of excellence dating back to 1978. Founded under the visionary leadership of Scott Bryce, UTVS has grown from a campus initiative into one of the most respected collegiate television stations in the nation.
Today, UTVS operates out of the historic Stewart Hall and delivers high quality regional programming to St. Cloud and surrounding communities via Spectrum Channels 180, 426, and 823. Viewers can also enjoy UTVS anytime, anywhere thanks to 24/7 On Demand access through dedicated apps on Amazon Fire TV, Android, iOS for iPad & iPhone, Apple TV, and Roku.

Be The Broadcaster And Filmmaker
St. Cloud State University invites you to our Be the Broadcaster And Filmmaker event on Friday, November 20th 2026. Be the Broadcaster And Filmmaker is a yearly event hosted by the SCSU Mass Communications Department for high school students interested in broadcast production, journalism and filmmaking.
Be the Broadcaster And Filmmaker offers tours of the on campus Mass Communications Television Studios, a panel discussion with recent graduates working in the media industry and hands-on opportunities for high school students to use and interact with real-world broadcast equipment with students and faculty. If you are interested in a career in Mass Communications, this is the perfect opportunity to visit the SCSU campus and check out SCSU’s award-winning broadcasting program. You will also get to experience the following:
