Thomas Riess is a Mass Communications major with a focus on Journalism. He is also minoring in Sociology. Thomas joined UTVS at the beginning of his sophomore year. He developed a passion for news throughout the year and was hired as News Director in August of 2025. In his free time, Thomas likes to skate, play golf and cheer on whatever Minnesota sports team is on the TV.
