Dave MacPhail
General Manager

   Dave MacPhail became General Manager of UTVS Television in the Fall 2005 after being Engineer for the station during the 2004-2005 year. Dave joined UTVS in the Fall of 2003. He is a 2003 graduate of John F. Kennedy Senior High School in Bloomington, Minnesota where he was born and raised.

   Dave's interest in television was sparked at a young age. At age 13, he began volunteering for the Bloomington Educational Cable Television (BEC-TV) out of Bloomington. He was hired at age 15 and continued working there until he started at Saint Cloud State University. He still occasionally makes it back to work at his old stomping grounds during breaks. Although you will rarely see him on TV, you will see Dave's work scattered over many shows. Aside from bring General Manager of UTVS, Dave is also the Director for Husky Productions which broadcasts all of Saint Cloud State University’s home hockey games.

   When away from the studio, Dave enjoys the outdoors and taking trips out of town. He is majoring in Mass Communications with an emphasis in Television Production, and minoring in Information Media.
