My brothers went here and it seemed like a logical choice to go to school and I wanted to tell stories and kind of fell into tv production because I wanted to shoot stuff.

UTVS Takes Honors at Regional Emmy Awards

October, 12th 2009 - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On Saturday September 26th St. Cloud State University’s television station (UTVS) received an award at the Midwest Regional Emmy Awards at the Pantages Theatre in Minneapolis.

Senior Bruce Meyers(Prior Lake, MN) and junior Jon Otte (St. Cloud, MN) received 1st Place for their work on AV Fuzz.

About the award, Bruce said: "It was a real honor to be recognized considering that the number of applications reached in the hundreds. Having AV FUZZ win a regional Emmyaward is a testament to the hard work our crew puts into each and every show."

Associate Producer, Jon Otte said: "It was a bit of a change having to be in the spotlight for once. Before we even stepped into the theater, our crew was interviewed. Usually we are the ones asking the questions."
